


Chien-Pott received Capri International Award in Dance, and she is selected as a “Outstanding Elite” in Performing Arts by The Generation T List of Asia Tatler in both 20. Chien-Pott is honored with "People of the Year" in 2017 by PAR Performing Arts Magazine of Taiwan and "Outstanding Dance Artist Award" from the government in Taiwan. In 2017, She received a prestigious Bessie Award for "Outstanding Performer" in Dance for her performances of Virginie Mécène’s reimagining of Martha Graham’s 1933 lost solo Ekstasis, and received Outstanding Alumni Award from Taipei National University of the Arts. Chien-Pott was one of the honorees of the "Women‘s History Month" 2015 in Hudson County. Chien-Pott has been honored with the POSITANO PREMIA LA DANZA “LEONIDE MASSINE” 2014 for "Most Outstanding Female Dancer on the Contemporary Scene" and named one of the "Best Performers of the Year" by Wendy Perron of the Dance Magazine in 20.

Chien-Pott joined the Martha Graham Dance Company as an Apprentice, within three years she was promoted to the rank of Principal Dancer. Chien-Pott has also served as a Guest Master Teacher for Nimbus Dance Works, its school, and outreach programs in the Jersey City public schools. The following year, she became a member of Nimbus Dance Works, a Jersey City-based contemporary dance company where she has performed lead roles in work by numerous artists including Samuel Pott, Pedro Ruiz, Francesca Harper, Korhan Basaran, Xiao-xiong Zhang, Charles Weidman, Randy James, and as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the annual Nutcracker production. Ms. The same year, she was invited to perform with Buglisi Dance Theatre and Korhan Basaran and Artists. Chien-Pott relocated to New York City through a Merit Scholarship at the Merce Cunningham Studio where she studied with Merce Cunningham himself. After receiving her BFA in Dance, she performed internationally with the Taipei Crossover Dance Company as a leading dancer. Chien-Pott was invited to perform with the Taipei Crossover Dance Company as a lead female dancer and with the Taipei Royal Ballet. At age 15, she was among top five dancers nationally selected for the seven-year dance program at Taiwan’s prestigious arts university, Taipei National University of the Arts. She started her dance training in classical ballet and Chinese Folk Dance at age 10 and was a member of the leading competition dance group in her hometown. Sought out by choreographers worldwide, she has created acclaimed lead roles in works by Mats Ek, Nacho Duato, Luca Veggetti and Andonis Foniadakis among many other significant artists.

Chien-Pott has interpreted the iconic lead roles of Martha Graham's repertoire including Ekstasis, Chronicle, Cave of the Heart, Clytemnestra, Hérodiade, Night Journey, Errand into the Maze, Rite of Spring, Lamentation, Primitive Mysteries and others.
